What is Stockbook?

Stockbook is livestock management software which enables you to manage all of your individual animal records and generate specific reports that allows you to analyse your data and make informed decisions in relation to your herd or flock. Stockbook integrates with all major brands of scales and Electronic Tag Readers. Stockbook runs at a number of different levels which are based on the individual needs of the user.

Stockbook Freeware is an entry level of Stockbook.

How much does Stockbook Freeware cost?

As the name suggests, Stockbook Freeware is free.

How do I become a user of Stockbook Freeware?

 
1)    Scroll down to the form below, complete the form and download the free Stockbook demonstration.

2)    For 30 days you will be running a demonstration version of Stockbook and have complete access to all functions and reports.

3)    At the end of the 30 days you have two options:          

i) Purchase Stockbook

ii) Register for a Freeware Version

4)    To register Freeware go File > Registration, fill in the required details and an unlock (activation) code will be emailed to you.

What if I am unable to download from the internet?

If you are unable to download Stockbook, contact Practical Systems and we will post you an installation disk. If you do not have the internet connected to your computer, we will also be able to provide you with an unlock (activation) code over the phone.

How can I see what features are available in higher levels of Stockbook?

You can quite easily trial all of the extra features and reports that are available in the purchased versions of Stockbook by changing to the demonstration herd. This is done by clicking on ‘File' > 'Demonstration Herd’. The Stockbook Version Comparison shows what features are available at each level.

What do I do if I need help using the program?

The best way to get started is to use the Quick Start Guide. There is also a comprehensive help menu within the Stockbook program for you to refer to.
 
As a Freeware client, Practical Systems are offering the use of our technical support team free for one month from when you unlocked the program. You can email the team at support@practicalsystems.com.au  or ring on 1800 624 688 Monday to Friday, between 8:30am and 5:30pm (AEST) if you encounter any problems. We recommend you take advantage of our support team during this period to build your confidence in using the program.
 
If after using Stockbook for one month, you still need help and support you are welcome to purchase an annual support package for $291.50 per year or pay for your technical support per call, for $110. If you are confident using the program without the assistance of our technical support team, you can of course continue to use Stockbook Freeware at no cost.
