In a significant development for the Australian sheep industry, AllStock (NSW) have announced they have sold the rights to their sheep recording program WoolPak to leading agricultural software produces Practical Systems.
Sheep producers that have relied on WoolPak for all of their performance recording in the past will find that Stockbook will allow them to do all the recording and reporting that they have previously done, as well as offering the following benefits that were previously not available using WoolPak.
- Stockbook allows you to manage multiple animal species, including sheep and cattle, in the one program.
- Stockbook provides advanced handling of electronic ID, as well as the ability to intergrate directly with electronic tag readers, scales and auto-drafters.
- Stockbook can be run in conjunction with our Stockhand program to allow the direct entry of data into a PALM handheld computer.
- Stockbook can be intergrated with our Farmbook program to manage all your Crop, Paddock and Mob events.
Stockbook comes in a number of levels, allowing you to purchase only the level that suits your operation ensuring you only pay for the features you will use.
Stockbook features specially-designed, RFID-capable laptop screens for recording data in the yards, making it possible to have decision-making data available for each animal as they are handled. Fleece data, breeding records, ASBVs, weights and treatments are displayed on each animal and new data can be recorded on user-designed template screens. Double recording back at the office is a thing of the past.
Not only does moving data around electronically save time but it also means that the records will be accurate. Fibre test data, faecal egg counts, Lamplan and Merino Select performance data, ASBVs, electronic tags - all these can be transferred to and from the program providing quick, accurate and reliable data delivery.
