FarmMap - Paddock planning & feed budget

FarmMap is a stand-alone mapping program. It is a new generation farm planning software solution designed to assist in the planning and visual recording of farm plans.FarmMap is simple-to-use and requires little or no computer skills.

Why should you use FarmMap to map your farm?

  • Automatically calculate paddock sizes
  • Collect and store location information including water pipe,  laneways, power lines and other hazards
  • Print single page maps for quick reference or a large, multiple page map for the office
  • Contractors coming to the farm can be advised quickly and easily of work to be done
  • Measure distances to help plan material requirements for fence building and maintenance
  • Specially designed to assists with environmental and property planning

How do you map your farm with FarmMap?

  1. Load an image of your farm into FarmMap. You can either use an aerial or satellite photograph (scanned from an existing photograph or purchased from a map provider), or upload the boundary from your GPS.
  2. Use FarmMap's simple drawing tools to trace over your fencelines. FarmMap automatically calculates and displays the areas and the name of the paddock. Paddocks can also store labels, notes on soil and vegetation types and photograps.
  3. Add in any other features you want to include on the map such as water pipes, drains, troughs and buildings. Each type of feature goes into its own 'layer', and you can turn each layer on and off depending on what you need to see on the screen or on a printed copy.

Practical Systems FarmMap is the complete mapping system for farmers to replace hand-drawn and cumbersome aerial plans.
